The year is 2029, the world has been ravaged by a violent uprising which has been put down. In response, the mega-corporation Omni Consumer Products followed a strict directive: "Humans are obsolete." A brave resistance continues to carry out raids on OCP facilities and perform hit-and-runs in order to strike at the heart of the company's dominance. But it seems their efforts have made little difference in halting Omni's relentless march towards complete control. However, there is one man fighting back against OCP who stands defiantly against these machine overlords: Alex Murphy/RoboCop (Peter Weller). The film was released on Blu-ray with a 1080p transfer, presented in 2.40:1, anamorphic widescreen, the film is presented with English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio, English Stereo and French Stereo audio tracks. The disc additionally contains the following special features: The Microsoft Windows version of the home media release featured two changes to the special features section for the region A region 2 edition of the film. The "RoboCop: The Television Series" featurette and all of the original DVD bonus features were added to the special features section. Additionally, the film is presented in 2.35:1, 16:9 anamorphic widescreen and contains English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio, English 2.0 Dolby Digital and French 2.0 Dolby Digital audio tracks. The movie was re-released on February 5th 2016 in a 3 disc Blu-ray limited edition SteelBook limited to 11,000 copies.
